CM/GC PROJECT ENGINEER
JOB PURPOSE
The GC Project Engineer assists the team in obtaining, evaluating, coordinating, and distributing the necessary information and authorization to deliver the project on time, within budget and to the specified quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Document management and control: Identify, save, archive, and distribute project documentation (plans, sketches, specifications). Includes maintaining files and documents, hard copies and electronic, in a detailed manner.

Maintain and update Contract Document Logs.

Draft, submit, and track all RFI’s and distribute as appropriate.

Prepare and maintain the submittal and procurement log.

Comprehend customer needs and consistently look for ways to support them.

Complete quantity take-offs and estimates as needed.

Solicit and obtain bids from subcontractors, vendors and material suppliers.

Ability to schedule projects and meet planned deadlines.

Analyze cost tracking.

Working knowledge of liens, contracts, retainage, etc.

Participating in weekly Project Meetings, giving updates on progress and budget, taking notes and distribute minutes afterward.

Ability to read, analyze and make drawings.

Must be able to build business relationships with clients and vendors.

Miscellaneous duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education: College Degree, preferred with major in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.

Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.

Specialized knowledge: Procore, AutoCAD, HCSS, Agtek and Microsoft Office (Including MS Project).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
